Check-in is any time after 3 pm and check-out is at 11am unless otherwise arranged.
No smoking of any kind is allowed in the building. There are comfortable old-fashioned swings and rocking chairs along the side of the building where guests are welcome to smoke if they wish.
The hotel is a retreat, for many of our guests, from their hectic everyday lives, including, as much as they love them, their children. There are many retired couples, honeymooners, business travelers, people celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, etc. Because of this, we have opted not to permit children under 12, except in Garden Gulch (Room #8).
While we are pet-friendly, dogs are limited only to Garden Gulch (Room #8).

Wow! Where do I start? I'm a city boy born and raised. I decided to stay at this hotel several nights and boy was it worth it! During the stay here we walked 70% of the Garden Gulch Trail (8 minute walk from the hotel), saw the Whiskeytown Falls (30ish minute drive), saw the Crystal Clear Falls (same area as Whiskeytown Falls), saw the Sundial Bridge (Redding Area), Shasta Caverns (near Redding), Lewiston Lake (close drive), and Trinity Dam Point (near Lewiston). Driving from here to Redding then back to here to sleep and rejuvenate ourselves was WORTH it. If you want Mother Nature, this is it ladies and gentlemen. This hotel is smack dabbed in the middle of anywhere you want to go to realize that life is hard, but worth it to live for.
