Things to do ~ Take a step back in time.

Go shopping and antiquing- Two great antique shops and plenty of other fun shopping including our Emporium, Tammie's (new-and-used) Books, Gold Rush Jewelers, Angela's Bead Art,  Mountain Market, and Olson's Stoneware all within 2 blocks of the hotel.
Go whitewater rafting, kayaking or tubing, all available down river just a short drive during warmer months.
See our great little Jake Jackson Museum & Blacksmith. The blacksmiths have classes during the year as well as "Hammer-Ins" for experienced blacksmiths and those who enjoy observing this vanishing art.
Dine: Several great restaurants are within easy walking distance of the hotel, including LaGrange, the Garden, LaCasita, the Red Dragon, Mamma Llama's, Johnny's Pizza, the Nugget, and Trinideli.  And check out our local wines!
Do not miss the Joss House while you are here.  This is an historic Taoist temple built during Gold Rush, now a state park open for tours Thursday-Sunday.
Visit the last saloon to survive from Gold Rush days, ‘The New York’ just down the street, or have a drink at the fun and elegant 1930’s-style bar across the street at LaGrange Café.  On Friday nights it's a jumpin' place!
Great Live Comedy is offered on some weekends through Trinideli.
Hike or bike some of the most glorious trails anywhere. Nature is our most precious resource, and we know how fortunate we are to live so close to it.
Take your camera and binoculars on a nature, bird-watching, or wildflower walk.  Speaking of binoculars, the stars on a clear night are spectacular!
.Go for a swim in the river or one of our mountain streams or lakes.  Check out the rope swing on the Trinity River!
Go fishing (Steelehead, Bass, Salmon, Trout)  and hunting  (Blacktail Deer, duck, quail)  in season.  You can get a license and other necessities at Trinity Outdoors by Tops Superfoods.  Tell Tim I sent you.
Go gold panning in one of our beautiful mountain streams.  You never know...Nuggets are still found!
In the winter you can go cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing in the Trinity Alps.  The same trails used for hiking and biking in warmer weather, make for a great winter trek.
Check out our fun community events such as the unbelievable old-fashioned Fourth of July, “Autumn in the Alps Festivals” celebrated during the entire month of October, and “Mountain Magic Christmas” which starts the day after Thanksgiving when the entire town dresses itself for an old fashioned Christmas. www.weavervillechamber.com  www.trinitycounty.comor www.weavervilleinfo.com
Attend an event at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center, of which we are all very proud.  You might see anything from a locally produced play, a fiddle contest, or a string quartel.
County-wide Garage Sale Weekends both around Memorial Day and Labor Day, fun for bargain hunters.  You never know what you might find.
Mamma Llama Coffee House, across the street from the hotel, is offering live entertainment on a more and more frequent basis in the summer. Check their website, www.mammallama.com for details of musical events.
